OPPORTUNITIES

No matter your stage or season of life, we want you and your family to join us! Your family is always welcome here

Second Sunday

We love to gather on Second Sundays. Bring a dish to pass and join us for good food and conversation!

Children

The mission of Holy Redeemer Sunday School is to nurture the spiritual growth and education of children of all ages through the offering of Scripture and Christian teachings, following the sacred cycle of the liturgical year. Our goals are:

  • To provide an engaging Bible-based curriculum that promotes understanding of God's Word and its application in daily life, synchronized with the seasons and events of the Church calendar.
  • To foster an environment where participants can ask questions, share insights, and develop a deeper faith in Jesus Christ while observing the holy days and feasts.
  • To build a strong community of believers who support and encourage one another in their Christian walks.
  • To equip learners with the knowledge and tools to live according to Biblical principles and share the Gospel (God’s word, the love of Christ which lives in us now) with others, guided by the recurring themes and teachings of the liturgical cycle.
  • To explore the God created uniqueness of each child, help them grow in their strengths while teaching how their uniqueness is imperative to the body of Christ.

Lectio

"Lectio Divina" is a traditional practice of scriptural reading, meditation, and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's word. It can be practiced individually or in a group and involves several steps:

  • Lectio (Reading): Read a scripture passage slowly and attentively, several times.
  • Meditatio (Meditation): Think deeply about the text and ponder its meaning in one's own life.
  • Oratio (Prayer): Respond to the text by praying (speaking with God about the text).
  • Contemplatio (Contemplation): Conclude by resting in God's presence, considering how God’s truth may affect one's life.

In a group setting, such as the Zoom meetings hosted by Holy Redeemer on Tuesday mornings or our men’s gathering at 6:30am on Fridays, participants often share their reflections and insights, enriching the experience through communal discernment and support.

HR Collective

The HR Collective, our vibrant young adult group, plays an integral role in the life of our church community. They actively contribute their energies to various church activities, including assisting with work days, hosting delightful BBQs, and facilitating our "Soups and Stations" events during Lent. This dedicated group not only supports our church’s initiatives but also fosters a strong sense of fellowship and service among our young adults.
